Previously, I used yellow ochre in a sky with great results (Caramel Sky and Mellow Meadow). I wanted to go that route again, but deeper, richer color. This is the result. This painting is 30X40 by 1.5 inch, gallery wrap canvas. "Last Dance" ©2006 Linda Calvert Jacobson. All Rights Reserved.

It makes me think of a really great cream soda float.
I do like that suggestion eveningstorm. I'll keep it in mind for future works. I liked the idea of "cream soda float" as well but couldn't make it work. I played with "rootbeer float" as well. I came up with "Last Dance" because it reminds me of the end of a day or the end of a season. Thanks to both of you for posting!!
